Wow! Here we are in our 10th year as Castercliff Primary Academy! We are so proud of our journey. Let's see what's going on this year:

KS1 Christmas Performance of Gnome Alone

Our KS1 children (Year 1 and 2) were absolutely amazing in their performances. The children knew all of their lines and were able to sing their hearts out to seven songs! Norman Gnome was finally able to help Santa and everyone can now have a wonderful Christmas time. Well done KS1!

Christmas Dinner Day AND Christmas Jumper Day

Friday 13th is spooky for some, but not here at Castercliff! We combined our Christmas dinner with Christmas Jumper Day. Here are just a few pics from the day.

Year 6 Trip to Helmshore Mill

On Tuesday 19th November, our Year 6 pupils went to Helmshore Mill to reinforce their topic of Local History, with a focus on the Industrial Revolution. A great day was had by all – despite there being snow on the ground!

PTA Coffee Afternoon for Children in Need.

On Friday 15th November, our PTA hosted a Coffee Afternoon to raise money for Children in Need. We were delighted with the turn out, despite the weather being against us!

We were able to raise around £165 for this worthy cause.

    Thank you for your support.

    Year 2 Materials Workshop

On Tuesday 12th November, we welcomed Balestra Education into our Year 2 classes for a materials workshop. We looked at the different properties of materials and we were able to make a house for George Pig. Did our houses survive an attack from the Big Bad Wolf?

    Halloween Disco

Our wonderful PTA outdid themselves once more when hosting our Halloween Disco! This year, we held two discos – one for EYFS and KS1 and then one for KS2.

    The costumes were amazing!

    The pizzas were huge!

The dancing was incredible…. even Mr Sherwin came down for a boogie. Here are just a few pictures to show you the fun we had.

    Geography – Around the World

Our Year 2’s took a trip around the world for their first Geography session of the 2024/2025 academic year. Can you spot where they have been?
